About

For some artists, it becomes obvious to everyone around them that they are destined for the stage before they have even realized it themselves. Savannah Berry is that type of singer. At just 17-years young, Savannah has a rich and emotive voice that belies her age and for several years already, people have been taking notice.

When she was in just the sixth grade, the Houston native got the idea that it would be fun to videotape her performances of songs and post them on YouTube for the entertainment of her family and friends. She was surprised when her very first YouTube video, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” received a flurry of positive responses from people that she did not know who requested that she post more videos. With each posting the audience for her YouTube channel, SavannahSings, grew, and in 2011 it took off. SavannahSings now averages more than 5,000 views per day with over 3.2 million total views and 14,000 plus subscribers.

Savannah realized a dream come true when she was invited by the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions to perform a “duet” with country music superstars, Sugarland. Savannah joined Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush backstage at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry, and they performed the duo’s #1 hit, “Stuck Like Glue.” The video was released on March 15, 2011.

Savannah went on to join Sugarland on the red carpet at the 46th Annual ACM Awards to promote the video and she was also invited to perform at the ACM Awards All Star Jam, which, as an unsigned artist is a very rare occurrence.

The social media savvy country star has an extraordinary ability to connect with her audience on-stage as well as on-line. Savannah performs regularly throughout her home state at opry’s, rodeos, and clubs. She has performed at the Country Music Is Love benefit concert for City of Hope alongside Thompson Square, Josh Thompson, Chris Cavanaugh and Brett Eldredge. She has also performed with some of the biggest stars of the Texas music scene including Jack Ingram, Sammy Kershaw, Cody Canada (Cross Canadian Ragweed), Wade Bowen, Hayes Carll and Sean McConnell.

2012 finds Savannah writing songs, recording and rehearsing for the first time with her own band. She has been co-writing with some of Nashville’s brightest songwriters, Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood’s # 1 “Temporary Home”) and Kevin Griffin (Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue”).  An EP with five new songs will be released in early spring and Savannah’s music will be available for the first time on iTunes.
